Paracetamol in paediatric suspension


  • Flexibility of dosage for children under six years of age.
  • Suspensions usually contain 120 mg in each five millilitres.
  • Doses can be given in 5 ml spoons allowing a dose down to half a spoonful (60 mg paracetamol).
  • Main use is in the treatment of fever associated with childhood infections and the discomfort of teething.
  • Recommended for babies 2-3 months old for the treatment of fever following immunisation.
  • Suspensions are stable and have a long shelf life
  • Formulated to have a taste acceptable to children.
